Consider this diagram that describes different sources of identity. Which one do you see as the biggest influence on identity? Are there any categories you would add? Are any of these categories problematic contributors to the formation of identity? Why?

I agree that the all of the categories expressed in the diagram dictate to someone's identity. Some of the major topics that I saw was 'ethnicity', 'appearance', 'values', and 'beliefs'. Theses topics are majorly relevant in today's society because they impact a large portion of people at once. The topics that we have a choice to idenify with, such as our beliefs, our appearance, and our values can be defined as a personal choice to make that apart of our identity. Things that are out of our control, like ethnicity, I believe can have the power to let it make us who we are or not. If you want to practice in your ethnic culture then that choice can label you as something, but if you do not then you have the power to create who you want to be.
I see ethnicity as the biggest influence because who you are and where you came from makes you and will alwasy be apart of you, you can't change that.
People beliefe that there identity that they live wont be like. People try to look great in other peoples eyes but people should just like themselfs.If people judge you should be concern with it becasue what people say about you is not you.

"Hot sexy stud aka stephon" I agree with you about people should just be themselves but in the case of another book i read where if people or the public knew who you really are it could cause you your life and everything you have worked for for example: slavery. In the book it was a white man who found out the he was more black than white and his whole life changed for the worst. In that case I would have kept that i secret until I got educated and my own property.......and them tell the public. They can't take what is in your mind....mmuuuaaahhh...
